Motley Crue Phoenix Concert reviews
Crue’s sound unlistenable
I’m commenting on the terrible sound in Allegiant stadium during the Motley Crue concert Friday 9/9/22. I have seen Motley Crue many times since 1984 to current and I have never been to a show where the sound was not adjusted for improvement. This show was simply awful and unlistenable through the entire set by Motley Crue. My guess is, you will hear many similar complaints about this, as I’m sure we are not alone in this experience. I thought it might be our seats, so we moved to the back of the venue and stood, but the sound was no better. Poison had some sound challenges too, especially when Bret was talking to the crowd, but you could hear the music ok, and the energy was fun. Def Leppard sounded great and did not experience the same distortion issues. Motley Crue was extremely bass and bass drum heavy with the mix so distorted you could hardly even hear Mick’s lead guitar, which also drowned out Vince’s vocals. I'm not one for publicly complaining but I was asked to review, and you need to hear this, due to the impact in the audience experience. We paid good money for the show and not to mention hundreds for food and drinks all night. Crue did not put a good product on stage and as a long time fan, I can’t help but be disappointed. My apologies to those offended, but hopefully this can be prevented in future performances.
